About Our Ministry
Originally called Main Street Living Northland, our weekly program has been airing continuously since early 2018. In September 2020, we changed our name to MSL Northland as we became an all local production. Each half hour program is a complete church service including liturgy, bible readings and hymns, along with a sermon delivered by an ordained pastor from one of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches in northeastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
Our Mission
The purpose of this corporation is to engage in a television and social media evangelistic ministry on behalf of Minnesota North District, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Our goal is to provide for those who cannot gather in a local congregation the opportunity to hear God’s Word the same as if they worshiped in a local congregation that Sunday. God says His Word will not return empty. May it bless you who hear it.

Videographer, Editor, and Producer
Dave serves as our videographer, editor and producer of MSL Northland. He has more than 30 years of award-winning experience in the industry and has worked with clients across the globe. Dave spent the beginning of his career at the Duluth CBS affiliate station as a news photographer and assistant photo chief. He and his wife then went on to start their own video production company, Stokes Media House. Dave and his family are members of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Esko.
All Congregations of the LCMS within the viewing area are eligible to have one pastor and one layman on the board. Most board meetings are conducted on Zoom, so distance is not an issue.
